The men will be meeting for lunch at Olive Garden on Wadsworth and Alameda at 11:30 a.m.
On December 7th, as a part of the Advent Devotionals, we were encouraged to bring cans of soup to donate to our Food Pantry or the homeless. We intend to continue this outreach each Sunday through December. One can of soup means a lot to those whom hunger stalks. Please bring your donations and place them on the table in the entry way.
The pantry will be open today, offering items to supplement your dinner table. They are open from 6-7:30 p.m. If you, or someone you know, is in need of food, you are welcome to attend!
The Men's Ministry will meet tomorrow night, January 16th, for a time of fellowship. They will meet in the S. Building at 6:30 p.m.
The Women's Ministry will be on break until the week of January 9th when they will be having a fellowship event - happy hour at a local restaurant and a movie at Century 16 BelMar. The date and time will be determined. The ministry will re-convene on January 16th when they begin their new study, "The Well Watered Women", by Gretchen Saffles. The book is accompanied by a devotional journal which is optional. They can be ordered through Amazon or Mardel's.
We will be offering two time slots for Christmas Eve services, 4:00 and 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Christmas Day, will be a "Christmas Breakfast and Worship", an experiential-led service with sharing, testimony, scriptures, prayer and worship. Breakfast will be served that morning. We would love to join you in worship on those days.
There will be a brief Congregational Meeting scheduled for Sunday, January 1, 2023, immediately following the service. This meeting will be to introduce and vote on Debbie Gilmore as the candidate who has been nominated to fill the vacant position on the Nominating Committee. She will fill the vacancy left by Mark Mehl, whose term ended in 2022. We would appreciate as many members to attend this meeting as possible. Once seated, the Nominating Committee will then begin the process of selecting two at-large members for the Leadership Team. These Leadership Team members will replace Jared Lahr and Steve Burdick who have served two 3-year terms.

Pastor Nick will lead this membership class taking place directly after service on January 8th, from 11:30 - 2:30 in the lower level of the S. building. Topics covered will include the history of Grace Covenant, a brief overview of the Evangelical Covenant denomination, and the benefits of membership. An opportunity to become a member will be available.
Additional volunteers are needed for the meal train presently operating at GCC. When someone is going through a difficult time, it can be hard to know how to best support them. Whether they just had a baby, lost a family member, or had a major surgery, making sure they have their basic needs met—food being one of them—is step number one.
