THIS WEEK'S EVENTS:

We need volunteers to assist the Properties Team to pull weeds in the playground area. If you have a spare hour in your day where you can assist, the team would greatly appreciate it. There is no need to coordinate specific times, just come as you are able. Thank you!

MEN'S FRIDAY LUNCH: Friday, August 11 - 11:30 a.m.

The men will be meeting at Denny's, 6th and Simms.

FOSTER FAMILY PICNIC: Saturday, August 12 - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sheridan Park at 3325 W. Oxford Ave. Denver, CO 80236 Grace will be hosting the Duckworth Duck Pond.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: A general sign-up sheet for the Block Party will be at the back of the Worship Center on Sunday. If you would rather just be put to work on that day without signing up for a specific area, we will be glad to take your name and assign you the morning of the Block Party. Stop by the tables in the back of the Worship Center and let us know you'll be there.

GRACE'S GROCERY: Next Thursday, August 17 - 6 p.m. Please stop in if you are in need of food assistance and invite others you think might be interested. Contact Shelley Burdick if you would like to volunteer (stburdic@gmail.com)

The Prayer Team invites everyone for a prayer walk around the property next Tuesday, August 15th, at 6:30 p.m.  This is in preparation for the Block Party!

WOMEN'S MINISTRY: SUMMER BOOKCLUB DISCUSSION ON  - August 23rdRead the book of the month in your own time and then join the group for fellowship and discussion on the dates listed with the books. MEMBERSHIP CLASS: Sunday, September 10th
Pastor Nick will lead this membership class taking place directly after service on September 10th, from 11:30 - 2:30 in the lower level of the S. building.  Topics covered will include the history of Grace Covenant, a brief overview of the Evangelical Covenant denomination, and the benefits of membership.  An opportunity to become a member will be available.   A light lunch will be served.

FALL KICK-OFF EVENT for Women's Ministry: Saturday, September 16
Members of the Women's Ministry will be taking a hike in Meyer Ranch Park near Conifer. Meet at 8:30 a.m. at the church, if you want to carpool, or 9 a.m. at the trailhead. 10490 S Turkey Creek Rd. Morrison, CO 80465. Bring water and snacks and dogs on leashes are welcome!

FALL COVENANT WOMEN'S RETREAT: October 28-29, Glen Eyrie, Colorado Springs (Find details in the ad below.) Early Bird registration ends August 31.
We're excited to join our fellow Colorado Covenant women again this year for the annual women's retreat at Glen Eyrie Conference & Retreat Center on October 28-29. We know it is pricey, so encourage any and all of you to apply for a scholarship as cost should not be a deterrent for coming. Early bird registration ends August 31 and prices increase by $20. Registration and more information can be found at: cocovenantwomen.org. There's also an option to add Friday night for $50/person (if you have 4 to a room). Let Bre, Kelcey, or Katie know if you are wanting to go early and we can make a full weekend out of it with our Grace sisters! (See flyer below)
