THIS SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 4

COMMUNION & BENEVOLENCE SUNDAY  
This Sunday we will be celebrating communion and  have the opportunity to donate to the Benevolence Fund.  This fund is established to assist people in the GCC Community that are facing temporary financial issues.

MANNA BAGAS AVAILABLE THIS SUNDAY:  The Manna Bags Ministry fills packets full of food, drink, and hygiene products to distribute to those who are without shelter.  The bags will be available this Sunday.  Please take several to pass out to those you meet throughout the course of your day.

TORCH BREAKFAST BURRITO FUNDRAISER - This Sunday
This Sunday, the Pettis family will be selling breakfast and lunch burritos for a suggested donation of $3/burrito.  Pre-orders would be appreciated, but not necessary.  They are doing breakfast burritos with egg/potato/green chile/cheese (with either bacon or sausage) and lunch burritos with beef/bean/green chile/cheese.  The funds earned will financially help them to go to the AWANA National Summit held in Lynchburg, VA in March.  Other Torch families will be selling burritos on February 11th.  Please consider donating.

ANNUAL MEETING AND POTLUCK -  This Sunday
Join us for the Annual Meeting where we will review the year of 2023 and look forward to focusing on our goals for 2024. There will be a potluck meal of soup and salad immediately following service and the business meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. More information will be forthcoming.

BAPTISM OPPORTUNITY & CLASS
February 11, 2024, 11:30 - 1:30 p.m. - Baptism Instructional Class
Join us immediately following the service on that Sunday for an informative class on how we can begin to understand the miracle of the covenant of Baptism.  This class is required prior to baptism.
February 25, 2024 - Baby Dedication and Water Baptism Sunday
During the service on that day, we will celebrate with individuals and their
families as they bring their children to the altar for dedication and rejoice with the individuals who are making the choice to publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY NEWS:

SPRING TOPIC: Breathe: Making Room for Sabbath by Priscilla Shrier
This new study began with an intro night on Thursday, January 25th.  Meetings will continue on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month through Aprill 11. 6:30-8 p.m. in the South building.
There is a study journal that can be purchased from Amazon for about $13 but is not required.  

OTHER EVENTS:

• Galentine's Progressive Dinner, Saturday, February 10 @ 5pm. We need 3 ladies who would be willing to host a course (appetizer, dinner, dessert). Please contact Kelcey, Bre, or Katie to volunteer!
• Bunco Night at church: Thursday, 4/25 @ 6:30pm
• Summer book club will be May, June, July, and August this year (1 book and meeting each month). Dates and books TBD
