Have you ever wondered about the soil your spiritual “tree” is planted in? It is uniquely prepared for deep roots and long branches...
It is always BOTH/AND. Deep Roots AND Long Branches. Deep Roots have History, Resiliency, and Authenticity. From these Deep Roots, we seek to find what is uniquely our gift to offer to others and we seek to extend long branches of mercy into the world.
Jeremiah 17:5-8
Our life in Christ is not about SHOULD or OUGHT. God does not meet us where we SHOULD be or where we think we OUGHT to be, but where we truly are. This means that authenticity, self-awareness, honesty, and repentance are foundational to cultivate the soil we grow in.
Luke 13:6-9
Jeremiah 12:2-3
The Gospel is a powerful weapon that cannot be extinguished or exhausted. We scatter Truth generously and recklessly because we believe that when it takes root it can multiply.
Matthew 13:1-23
What God wants to do through you, God first does in you. Our spiritual being precedes our spiritual doing. Good fruit is grown from Good Trees.
Luke 6:43-45
The kingdom of God has small beginnings in seemingly insignificant acts of Love. We plant seeds of love in the world knowing that they will grow into world changing realities. We believe the kingdom of God is like a tree that is meant for shade, shelter, and protection, and that the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
Mark 4:26-32
The Ultimate Goal of Spiritual Formation is intimacy with God. Our goal is not to earn a ticket to heaven or for immediately increased morality. The goal is intimacy with the One who loves us and pursues us; all else flows from this.
John 15:1-17
God is always present and at work. We don't force the movement of the Holy Spirit, rather we awaken ourselves to God's presence in and around us. We see where he is at work and join in, turning up the volume on what God is already doing. In that way we celebrate that God uses his body, the Church, to bring about his kingdom in the world.
Luke 7:18-23
God's unconditional love changes the world. That's the Gospel. That's what the work of Christ did for us. As the Church we believe nothing has changed and that Love still has the power to change the world.
Hosea 10:12
We are the Church. The Church is not a place we go to but a people who gather together. Each member of God's global Kingdom is equipped by God with unique gifts. The Kingdom grows and advances when each member uses their unique gifts and partners together with the greater effort of the God's global Kingdom.
Acts 2:37-47
